We understand the needs and concerns of parents especially those that do not have the option to work from home during the Coronavirus crisis. Therefore, Kai Mixed Martial Arts will provide a clean & safe environment for children and will put into place special health measures that will help ensure that our kids and staff stay healthy during the work day.

Our facility will be cleaned & disinfected each morning before children arrive. Children will be screened for illness upon arrival via infrared thermometer testing. Kai MMA will also require mandatory hand washing at regular intervals, and restrict games and activities to those that involve the least amount of contact. Those children that appear sick throughout the day will be isolated and the parents will be contacted immediately. Children should come prepared with a lunch, drink and a snack and are encouraged to also bring electronic devices, books, study materials, etc. This service will become available effective immediately!

COVID-19 UPDATE
Kai Mixed Martial Arts Academy cares about your wellness and safety. Please know that we are monitoring the local situation very closely and will continue to provide guidance to you on this situation as it further develops. As of today, please be sure to review and implement the following updates:
IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY TRAVELED ABROAD, STAY HOME: If you recently traveled to a CDC-defined area of concern (http://cdc.org) please refrain from attending classes for at least 14 calendar days from your return date.
Please call us or email us directly to make appropriate accommodations or to reschedule your classes should you become sick.
IF YOU FEEL SICK, STAY HOME! We are a community, and as such, we have a personal responsibility to take care of one another. With this in mind, please do not come to class or enter our facility as an observer if you feel ill. For the safety of all our members, please be vigilant and mindful of this policy. Obviously do not come to class with a cough or fever, but also reconsider class if you have a headache, runny nose, scratchy throat, etc. In addition, please keep in mind that if you feel overly stressed/tired/run-down, your immune system may be compromised. A hard training session may only serve to make things worse for yourself, and make you extra vulnerable to illness.
PRACTICE GOOD GYM HYGIENE: Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds before entering your class. If you must clear your throat or sneeze while in class, please do so in the crook of your elbow or with a handkerchief. Wash your uniform, gi, belt, and rash guard after EVERY training session! Shower immediately after EVERY class! Clean your gear bag and adhere strictly to the "no shoes on the mat" policy. Please note: Kai MMA will be disinfecting mats and pads with disinfectant at least once per day. Touch point "hot-spots" such as door nobs & light switches, will be disinfected constantly throughout the day and at least hourly during high-traffic evening hours.
PLEASE KEEP US INFORMED: We would like to respectfully request you keep Kai MMA informed if you should fall ill. This will enable us to communicate appropriately within our community and keep our school as safe as possible.
